FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I want to contribute to the zine but am not an artist, is there something else I can do?
A: Moderation has already been set, but if you have experience in other forms of content (such as printing/crafts/merch/etc), please feel free to reach out to us here to see if we can figure something out.

Q: What maturity guidelines will the zine follow?
A: This zine is a reflection of the comic and will cover a large variety of themes! As such, Verse of the Deep will also be following a similar set of guidelines and will be aimed towards a 16 and over aged audience. All applying artists must be 18 years or older and all submitted work must abide by the following rules:

This zine will be SFW, no NSFW content allowed. However, like the comic, non-sexual nudity and crass language will be allowed.

No extreme gore or violence. Again, like the comic, occasional gore and violence is allowed. See this page for a good example on the maximum limit to what will be permitted (link contains spoilers!).

Final decisions on more murky areas will be left solely to the determination of the zine's Mods.
Q: Are there any other specific guidelines artists will have to follow for the visual or written work they submit?
A: Additional guidelines are as follows:

No slurs, racist, ableist, misogynistic, antisemitic, or queer/homo/trans/fat/etc-phobic content of any kind will be allowed.

Art/Writing submissions must be new pieces not previously posted. Sharing early WIPs during the creation period will be allowed after mod approval. Posting final pieces must wait until after zine sales have finished.

Contributors retain the rights to their zine piece, however the copyright of Tiger Tiger and all related content remains with Petra Nordlund.
Q: Where will the artists for the zine organize?
A: All communication and organization of the zine will occur on our private discord server. Please have an account ready to join with!

Q: Will this zine be free?
A: The zine is a not-for-profit fan work! This means that the artists and mods will not be making money to honor Petra's work and copyright. We're making a pdf that will be available for free!

A: Applications are now closed, but follow us on social media (@verseofthedeep) to learn more ways you can support the zine!
Q: Who can apply?
A: Along with visual artists, written work will be included and we highly encourage you to apply! BIPOC, queer/trans, and disabled applicants are also encouraged to apply and will be given priority!!! Feel free to include this info in your application. Must be 18 or older to apply.
